If you have a large customer database (in excess of 5,000 customers), it is possible to profile this against one of the available national consumer databases. Where the same people appear on both databases a ‘match’ results enabling your data to be enriched with the additional information held on the national consumer database. This can include:
• their age
• gender
• geographical spread
• household income level
• newspaper readership
• car ownership
• usage of financial products
• and much more besides.
This profile can be used to identify like-minded people to target for direct marketing campaigns, for identifying which magazines your customers read (for better targeted advertising) and for creating insights which can be built into communication messages.

2. Researching with business customers
Unleash Marketing can undertake research with your customers to understand what they think of your business. Depending on your business model and size, the research can be a handful of in-depth telephone interviews or an online survey sent to all customers. Either way, feedback is gained on:
• strengths / weaknesses of your business
• reasons customers choose to buy from you
• their practical experience of buying from you (e.g. website experience, telephone orders, delivery times, customer service)
• level of interest in new products or services
This research can uncover key opportunities for growth and findings from online surveys (where the sample size is large) can often be used in marketing campaigns e.g. 94% of our customers recommend us.
The price for six in-depth telephone interviews is £1,250 + VAT, with online surveys from £2,500 +VAT (depending on scope of research and database size)
3. Researching with individuals
If your business is targeting individuals, rather than other businesses, we can develop an online survey to be sent to your customer database. This survey will provide you with:
• insights into your customers’ experience of your business
• identify opportunities for improvement (e.g. customer service, ease of website use, telephone orders)
• indication of interest in new products or services.
We manage the research process and present both key findings and our recommendations for incorporating them into your marketing.
