Website intermediary

Through this innovative service we act as intermediaries between you and your web developers.    We consider your requirements objectively at the outset of website development, and are not ‘blinded’ by the technical jargon many web developers use.

This is how it works:

Step 1: Defining scope of website
We work with businesses to define the website’s:
• objectives
• target audience
• competitors
• key content, including landing pages for specific customer groups
• navigation
• technical requirements (hosting, email addresses, interfaces with social media)
• design look and feel, to fit with corporate identity
• search engine optimisation requirements (so the website is ranked highly in the search engines)
• content updating requirements (e.g. is a content management system appropriate for internal staff to update the website?)
• budget and timescale

All of this information is summarised in a clear website brief.

Step 2: Briefing the website to web developer(s)
We can:
• Put your brief out to tender to several web developers
• Work with a web developer you have in mind
• Use one of the developers in our network of suppliers.

Whichever route you choose, we brief the website to the developer and assess their proposal to ensure it meets the objectives and scope required for your website.  Once the scope and price are agreed, we develop an overall project plan with timings and responsibilities so that your staff and the developer understand what is required.  Progress will be tracked against this plan.

Step 3: Developing your website to launch
Every website project is different, and there are several ways Unleash Marketing can help you to develop and launch your website:

• Act as the overall project manager for the development and launch of your site
• Hold regular review meetings with your in-house project manager and the web developer as the website develops
• Provide copywriting for the site – ensuring messages are relevant to your target audience
• Brief and work with search engine optimisation or social media consultants to ensure these elements are incorporated

Our approach is flexible, and our role can evolve as your website development progresses.  From our experience, a comprehensive brief, thorough assessment of the proposal and a clear project plan are the crucial elements for successful website development.

The cost for acting as your website intermediary will depend on the agreed scope of work, the cost starts from £1,200 (+VAT) to complete steps 1 and 2.
